April at The Fountain

April has always felt like a month of quiet optimism. The days are longer, the light is gentler, and there is something in the air that makes you want to take a little better care of yourself. It is one of our favourite months at The Fountain and this year, it happens to be a rather significant one.

This April, we turn 19. And we have been thinking a great deal about what that means.

The Fountain Beauty Therapy is an award-winning salon based in Hurtmore, near Guildford, Surrey, specialising in expert facial and massage treatments since 2007.

The Fountain opened its doors in 2007 in the old village stores here in Hurtmore, Surrey. It was a considered decision to create a small, expert-led beauty therapy salon in a community setting, where clients could feel genuinely cared for rather than processed.

From the very beginning, we focused on what we believed in most: skilled massage therapy, results-driven facials, and an approach that never lost sight of the person in the room. Over the years that has grown to include specialist care for clients who are pregnant or going through cancer treatment, advanced skincare with Natura Bissé and Environ, and a team of therapists who each bring their own signature expertise to everything we do.

Nineteen years on, the intention is exactly the same. We are still here, still learning, and still completely focused on the person in the treatment room. We are more grateful than ever for every client who has trusted us, some of them since the very beginning.

April is a transitional month for skin, and it is worth paying attention to. After months of central heating, cold air and the general depletion that winter brings, most complexions arrive in spring feeling a little flat — lacking luminosity, sometimes congested, often quietly in need of a reset.

Facial Fridays – A Focus on Skin

Alongside our 3D Collagen focus this month, we continue with Facial Fridays — a dedicated space in the week centred entirely around advanced facials and skin health.

Facial Fridays are about visible results, structured skin programmes and still allowing time for deep relaxation. It’s an opportunity to pause at the end of the week and give your skin the focused attention it truly deserves.

Whether you’re choosing an Environ facial, supporting menopausal skin with Essential Shock (R)Evolution, or investing in 3D Collagen for firmness and structure, Fridays are a natural moment to reset and refine.

As always, treatments are tailored to your individual skin needs — because frequency and approach depend entirely on what we are trying to achieve.

To mark 19 years, we wanted to create something that felt entirely true to who we are. Not a promotion. Not a discount. Something of genuine value: a treatment that draws on everything we have learned and gives it back to you in the most personal way we know how.

The Anniversary Ritual is a 60-minute bespoke treatment combining the two things we do best: massage and facial therapy. There is no fixed formula. Your therapist will begin by understanding exactly what you need, your skin, your body, what you are carrying that day and build your entire session around that.

It might lean towards massage, releasing tension that has built through the weeks. It might focus on your skin, addressing the particular concerns that spring has surfaced. It might weave both together seamlessly. Your therapist decides. That is the point.

Launched just in time for the new year, our Glow, Radiance and Luminous Memberships are now open.

Following your feedback in our recent client survey, we’ll now be closing on all bank holiday weekends.

This gives our therapists the opportunity to properly rest and recharge, ensuring they can continue delivering the high level of care you expect.

You may notice a small change when booking your treatments.

Hygiene gaps are no longer added separately when booking online. This time is now built into all of our massages and facials, allowing us to continue delivering treatments to the high standard we’re known for, while keeping the booking process simpler and clearer for you.

We will say it quietly for now but next April, The Fountain turns 20.
