July updates - Why We Never Stop Learning: Investing in Better Treatments for You
At The Fountain, one of the questions I’m often asked is, “How do you choose your treatments?”
The answer is simple… very carefully.
We never introduce something simply because it’s fashionable or because everyone else is doing it. Every treatment, product and piece of equipment has to earn its place on our treatment menu.
Sometimes that means months of research, conversations with suppliers, attending training courses and asking ourselves one important question:
Will this genuinely benefit our clients?
Learning Never Stops
July has been another month of learning and development for our team.
Earlier this month, I was delighted to attend the launch of the third Beauty and the Best book, celebrating our wonderful profession alongside colleagues from the Beauty Directors Club.
Before the end of the school term, I also spent a day at Rodborough School Careers Day, talking to students about apprenticeships and the many rewarding career opportunities within the beauty industry. It’s something I’m incredibly passionate about, and I love helping to spread the word that beauty therapy is a skilled, professional and fulfilling career with so many different pathways.
Keeping Our Treatments at Their Best
Education doesn’t stop once a treatment is launched.
This month we were delighted to welcome our wonderful Natura Bissé trainer, Alejandra, back into the salon to take us through the latest updates to the 3D Collagen Shock Facial protocol.
Even treatments our clients already know and love continue to evolve, and regular training ensures we’re delivering the very latest techniques, products and exceptional results every time you visit.
Summer Favourites
One treatment that’s certainly been keeping us busy this month is spray tanning.
Whether it’s holidays, weddings, parties or simply wanting a healthy summer glow, it’s been wonderful to see so many clients leaving with beautifully bronzed skin and plenty of confidence for the season ahead.
Of course, we’re still reminding everyone that a tan should always be paired with good sun protection, which is why Heliocare continues to be one of our summer essentials.
A New Chapter for Body Treatments
For quite some time we’ve recognised that there was an opportunity to strengthen our body treatment offering.
After extensive research, we’ve chosen to partner with PHYTOMER, a brand renowned for its marine-based expertise and commitment to professional body care.
This month, Hayley and I completed specialist training in PHYTOMER’s beautiful Marine Lymphatic Drainage Massage. This tailored treatment uses gentle, rhythmic techniques to encourage healthy lymphatic flow, helping to reduce water retention, ease feelings of heaviness and leave you feeling lighter, refreshed and deeply relaxed.
We’re also excited to be introducing a range of luxurious PHYTOMER body rituals, including exfoliating and hydrating treatments, allowing us to offer an even more complete body care experience.
Our PHYTOMER Marine Lymphatic Drainage Massage is now available to book with both Clare and Hayley, and we can’t wait for more clients to experience this wonderfully restorative treatment.
Saying Goodbye to Eventis
This month we’ve also made the difficult decision to say goodbye to our Eventis Skin Analysis Scanner.
After careful consideration, we felt it was the right decision for our business and, ultimately, for the experience we want to provide our clients.
We’re so pleased that many of you have managed to book in for a complimentary skin scan before it leaves the salon, and it’s been lovely helping clients better understand their skin while the scanner has been with us.
Sometimes moving forward means making difficult decisions, and this is one of those moments. As always, our priority is ensuring that every treatment, piece of technology and recommendation we offer truly earns its place at The Fountain.
Don't Leave Booking Until the Last Minute
One thing we notice every summer is that diaries fill up very quickly.
Evening appointments, Saturdays and pre-holiday appointments are often booked weeks in advance, particularly for spray tans, pedicures, facials and massage treatments.
If you know you have a holiday, wedding, special occasion or simply want to maintain your regular appointments, we would encourage you to book ahead where possible.
